Gifts of the Spirit1Cor 12:7-11, But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. As you can see, there are nine gifts of the Holy Spirit which are manifested by Him, severally as He wills, for the edification, comfort, and exhortation of the Body of Christ. Sometimes when I am recording these programs the Holy Spirit will speak a word through me by a tongue and interpretation or by a prophecy. It is not me speaking, but rather the Spirit of my Father speaking through me for your edification. I encourage you to study the Scriptures regarding the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and the gifts and fruit of the Spirit in the Book of Acts and the epistles of Paul, John, and Peter. In Galatians 3:13&14 we read: Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangs on a tree; That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Jesus said in Acts 1, ...wait for the promise of the Father, which you have heard of me; For John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now. The gift of the Holy Spirit is a blessing!
Being a Christian is not a religion; it is a relationship with the Son of God, Jesus Christ, and with His Father, through the Holy Spirit in the Word of God: not a religion, but a relationship with them.
