Sanctified Through the Truth

Sanctify: To make holy, purify, consecrate

In John 17:17 -23 Jesus said, Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

If you are sanctified through the truth, His Word is truth, made holy, purified, consecrated; then what is the fruit of lies? When you believe a lie it makes you unholy, it defiles you, and it separates you from your brothers and sisters in Christ, and from Jesus and the Father. We are sanctified to become one in the Father and in His Son. 1John 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

1Jn 1:5 -10, This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

John 16:13, Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth is come, He will guide you into all truth... The Holy Spirit guides us into all truth, and we are sanctified through the truth. John 14:26, the Holy Ghost teaches us all things. We must continue reading and meditating in God's Word and ask Him to guide us into all truth by the Holy Spirit. The devil sends us all kinds of distractions to keep us from being sanctified and becoming one. We cannot become one unless we are sanctified in the truth. Consider what happened in Acts 2 when they were all in one accord; Jesus said, now you are clean through the Word that I have spoken unto you...Jesus spoke the Word to them that the Father gave Him, John 17:8, For I have given unto them the Words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. They were sanctified through the truth. They were in one accord.

Jesus said in John 8:31, If you continue in my Word then you are my disciples indeed; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.(Liberate, Deliver). If you continue listening to lies you will go deeper and deeper into bondage. God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him, Heb 11:6. We must earnestly desire and diligently seek our sanctification that we may be one in Jesus and the Father, as they are one, that the world may believe that the Father sent Jesus. People will be saved! And when we are sanctified, the glory that the Father gave Jesus will be given to us, (John 17:22)

1Jn 2:26-29 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

The Holy Spirit teaches you all things and you need not that any man teach you. Are you listening to a man? Is he teaching you anything that is not the truth, any lies? Be sure about this! Look into it, because if he is teaching you any lies and you believe them, those lies will keep you from being sanctified. The devil uses men to preach and teach much truth and a few lies to this very end. Let the Holy Spirit be your guide. Believe only the truth. His Word is truth. Look diligently in the scriptures concerning everything being taught to you.

So, to sum it up, we are sanctified, made holy, purified, consecrated through the Word of God that is ministered to us by the Holy Spirit that we may be made one in the Father and His Son, (John 17:23) I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
