Where Are You Going?

Heaven? Heaven is a place for the righteous. The Kingdom of God is for the justified. Jesus said, Unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and pharisees you will in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven. Unless you be converted and become as little children you will not enter, for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

Do you know where you are going? Are you righteous or are you a sinner?
Are you doing righteousness or are you practicing sin?

God has prepared a place for everyone, even the devil and all his angels and all those who follow the devil and do his works. It is called the lake of fire. Everyone who is thrown into it will be tormented day and night with no rest for ever and ever. Do you ever think about forever? He has prepared another place, the city of God, New Jerusalem, in which the Father and His Son Jesus and all the righteous will dwell for ever.

There is a judgement coming. God has books. There and then is when they will be opened. Every person who has ever been or will be born, your name is written in those books. There is a book called The Lamb's Book of Life. For your name to be written there, you must be born again. You must repent of your sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Joh 3:16-18, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. God said that He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. If you will not come to repentance you will perish. That does not mean you will lay down and go to sleep. That means eternal death, eternal torment in the lake of fire; not for a day or a season; but forever! 
Rev. 20:15, And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Jesus said in Mat 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Righteousness is doing the will of the Father; nothing else. The will of the Father is that you repent of your sins and believe on the name of His Son Jesus, be baptized in water, and receive the Holy Spirit. In doing so, if you will lay down your will and let the Holy Spirit lead you every day, let Him teach you God's Word and lead you to obey it, then you will be doing the will of the Father. Do you see how that is becoming like a little child? If you refuse and hang on to your pride and insist on your way you will perish. God grants His grace to the humble.

It is not enough to do part of God's will. Many people say they believe in Jesus. Many people have been baptized. But Jesus said only those who do the will of His Father will enter the Kingdom. The only way to do the will of the Father is to be led by the Spirit of God to obey His Word; to take up your cross every day and follow Jesus.
Jesus said ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and it shall be opened.
